York Minster - Apprenticeship

Katherine was chosen to do a two year apprenticeship in architectural carving, see testimonial letter. Her training was very specialised at this the second largest gothic cathedral in Northern Europe. She enjoyed working along side her carving tutor at the Minster's stone carving workshop. 

She carved gothic oak leaves, crockets, finials, gables and buds to the Great West Doorway, North West Door and Tower in Tadcaster and Whitby stone. 

She was also appointed to carve a plaque unveiled by HRH Duke of York commemorating the Great West doorway.
