Katherine carved a Portland stone plaque commemorating Ignatius Sancho, the first black Briton to receive the vote; this was unveiled at the park by the MP of Greenwich . Greenwich Park is an English Heritage and World Heritage site. She copied the style of a neighbouring plaque by taking a rubbing of its inscription, she also gilded the plaque.

Katherine’s experience in letter carving has led her to carve many prestigious stone plaques. Much of her work has been unveiled at prestigious ceremonies and on historic buildings. She has also carved commemorative inscriptions for VIPs.
She also carves gravestones and does letter carving on buildings and steps.

During her carving apprenticeship Katherine was appointed to carve the stone plaque to commemorate the newly carved Great West Doorway. This was unveiled by HRH Duke of York .

She returns annually to carve each new Lord Mayor's name on the wall. She also carved 2 x heraldic shields, miniature copies of the main shield.
