Katherine was commissioned to create a pregnancy sculpture - life size. The concept was to show the femininity of the mother and masculinity of the the unborn baby boy. The femininity was achieved with the petal like layers around the breasts and bump and their revealing pink undertones. The masculinity was portrayed with the vibrant movement around and on the bump.
To aid her sculpture she took a body cast of the mothers torso including her pregnancy.
