Allthough Katherine's training at the Minster was predominantly in architectural carving she did some masonry work in the Minster's bankers yard where she carved voussior stones for the Great West doorway and surrounds in Tadcaster and Whitby stone.

Katherine trained in stone masonry at Weymouth College for 2 years achieving NVQ level 3 and a distinction in architectural stone carving. She enjoys traditional stone masonry, carving and installing stones, pointing stones and brick walls with mortar and mortar restoration to weathered stones. She has worked on many historic and prestigious buildings since 1997.
