Katherine's stone masonry skills were well utilised when she carved and installed a new Portland stone arch, in the courtyard. To hold the arch stones in place during the installation Katherine designed and made a bespoke wooden arch.
Katherine was affiliated a
member of the Art Workers Guild in 2007.

Katherine trained in stone masonry at Weymouth College for 2 years achieving NVQ level 3 and a distinction in architectural stone carving. She enjoys traditional stone masonry, carving and installing stones, pointing stones and brick walls with mortar and mortar restoration to weathered stones. She has worked on many historic and prestigious buildings since 1997.
