Katherine repaired the marble continent of Africa. She carved and installed a new crook Campanella white Carrara marble after making a model. This crook's shaft was extremely thin and long, with a diameter no larger than 30mm but with careful carving and due to the very hard marble it did not break.

She was the project's head carver, see testimonial letter for her duties.

The four marble continents encompass the Parnassus frieze.

Albert Memorial African statues

Katherine has restored and repaired London's most prestigious statues and monuments; carving large heraldic shields, beasts and figurative sculptures. She believes realism is the hardest art form to carve in uncompromising stone. On taking on a figurative commission (animal or human) she will study the subject producing a model prior to carving it in stone. She also studies modelling from the human figure and takes adult college courses for her professional development.

She also repairs sculptures, statues and carves new heraldic statues.
